This Privacy Policy describes how Wandrly ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Akanksha Chaturvedi, handles your information when you use the Wandrly Chrome Extension.

1. Information We Collect

Wandrly does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. The extension operates entirely on your device.

The following data is stored locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in storage:

• Place names and coordinates you pin on Google Maps
• Your AI API key (stored locally, never transmitted to us)
• Your trip preferences (number of days, trip style)

2. How We Use Your Information

All data stays on your device. When you click "Generate Itinerary", your pinned place names and preferences are sent directly from your browser to the AI API provider (Groq) using your own API key. We never see or store this data.

3. Third-Party Services

Wandrly uses the following third-party service:

• Groq API — used to generate travel itineraries. Your prompts are sent directly to Groq using your personal API key. Please refer to Groq's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.
• Google Maps — Wandrly operates as an overlay on Google Maps. We do not collect any data from Google Maps beyond what you explicitly pin.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. We have no access to any data stored on your device.

5. Data Security

Your API key and pinned locations are stored using Chrome's local storage API, which is sandboxed to the extension and not accessible by websites or other extensions.

6. Children's Privacy

Wandrly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
